Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order approving a road map for expanding the production of mineral fertilizers for the period until 2025.

mineral fertilizersThis type of production belongs to the key areas of the domestic chemical industry, which is one of the leading in the category of non-hydrocarbon non-primary exports.

In accordance with the signed document, fertilizer production should increase by 7.3 million tons (in relation to the index of production in 2016) by the indicated period.

In addition, according to the road map, the percentage of export of mineral fertilizers should increase by 4 points, and it is also planned increasing of their consumption by agricultural producers.

In total, in the industry development plan there are provided 16 points, among which the promotion of investment projects initiated by producers of mineral fertilizers is also indicated.

To expand the domestic market, the activation of the use of fertilizers in crop production process is indicated as an additional measure, as well as the development of an internal system of commodity and logistics services.

In order to increase the share of export of mineral fertilizers on the approved areas, cancellation of export duties as the state support is supposed.
