TractorRussian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved the Export Development Strategy in the agricultural machinery industry until 2025. He announced this at a meeting with the vice premiers on Monday, September 4.

The approved strategy is designed to accelerate the growth rate of exports of Russian agricultural machinery products. It is planned to achieve this goal by increasing sales of agricultural machinery in traditional markets, entering new sales markets, as well as by increasing the number of enterprises engaged in export deliveries.

It is expected that the implementation of the strategy will ensure a nearly threefold increase in exports of domestic agricultural machinery – from 10.2 billion rubles in 2018 to 30.2 billion rubles in 2025. The number of enterprises involved in export deliveries will increase from 48 to 70 as a result of implementation of the strategy. Thus, more than 80 percent of all Russian enterprises will sell their products to foreign markets. As for the importing countries of Russian agricultural machinery products, their number will increase from 35 in 2018 to 65 in 2025th.

The export development strategy will allow increasing the workload of the production capacities of Russian enterprises, and, consequently, the output of machinery, as well as an increase in demand for raw materials, components and materials of domestic production.
