MeatRussia may start exporting meat to Japan soon. Two local companies – “Miratorg Zapad” and “Ratimir” – have been attested and allowed to supply Japanese market with heat treated pork and beef.

The companies plan to export heat treated pork and beef products to Japan. This will include mainly sausage products and specialties.

According to representatives of “Miratorg” agriholding, admission to the Japanese market is a considerable achievement in export potential development both for the company and the entire country. These results prove the efficiency of support provided by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance to one of the key economic sectors.

“The unique interregional integration approach within the company helps us maximize visibility and efficiency of the production process, which was the first thing that the Japanese experts marked out while carrying out the audit of our divisions in Kaliningrad region”, say representatives of the “Miratorg” press-service.

According to the other company “Ratimir”, they will start exporting their products to the Japanese market in the fist six months of 2017.

“We never work with South Korea. Taking in account the fact that Chinese market is closed for Russian meat products, our prior goal now is to enter international markets through Japan. As soon as China is ready to cooperate with Russian companies, we’ll be happy to work with Chinese partners too”, say the company employees.
