livestock productsRussia has the right to send its livestock products to more than fifty countries. This was recently reported by the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), Sergei Dankvert.

According to him, with 43 countries, the department continues work on including new items in the list of approved products, as well as agreeing on the terms of supply. The main promising markets for domestic products Dankvert includes the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. For today negotiations on the coordination of conditions of deliveries and expansion of lists of exported production are conducted with Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar.

As for other countries, the process of opening of their markets is only in the middle of the way, said the head of Rosselkhoznadzor. So, the department is waiting for answers on the results of inspections conducted by Turkish, Japanese and Chinese inspectors. Also, procedures for the admission of livestock products to the markets of 15 countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Mexico and others, have been launched.

Nevertheless, negotiations with a number of countries on the admission of Russian meat products have been underway for several years. For example, with the PRC and Vietnam the terms of access have been coordinated since 2014, said Sergei Dankvert.

In conclusion, the head of the veterinary service informed that the export of the main types of livestock products in recent years has increased significantly.
